What information Tantool collects, why, and the choices you have. Written in plain language.
1. Summary
In short: there are no accounts on Tantool. Files and text you put into our PDF, image and text tools are processed in your browser and are not uploaded to our servers. We use cookies for analytics and advertising only if you allow them, and we use the contact form only to reply to you.
This policy applies to tantool.online ("Tantool", "we", "us"). By using the site you agree to it. If you disagree, please do not use the site.
2. How our tools handle your data
Most tools — including the PDF, image, text, calculator and developer tools — run entirely in your browser with JavaScript. The files and text you enter stay on your device and are not sent to us.
A few tools work by contacting another service from your browser, and only the information needed for that request is sent:
- IP Address Lookup sends the IP address you enter to public IP-geolocation services (ipapi.co, with ipwho.is as a backup) to return the result.
- HTTPS Reachability Checker makes a request from your browser to the domain you type, and links to third-party tools (SSL Labs, SSLShopper) if you want a full certificate report.
- Libraries such as the PDF and QR-code libraries are loaded on demand from the cdnjs content delivery network, which receives your IP address like any web server would.
3. Information we collect
- Usage data (Analytics). If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics records anonymised statistics such as pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type.
- Contact messages. If you write to us through the contact form or by email, we receive your name, email address and message so we can reply. The form is processed by Formspree.
- Technical data. Our hosting provider (Blogger, operated by Google) and ad partners may process technical data such as IP address and browser details to deliver the site and prevent abuse.
- Your choices. A cookie that remembers your cookie preferences.
We do not run user accounts, and we do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information.
5. Advertising
Tantool is supported by advertising from Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. If you do not accept advertising cookies, only non-personalised ads may be shown.

6. Third-party services
- Google — Blogger hosting, Google Analytics, Google AdSense and Google Fonts. See the Google Privacy Policy.
- Cloudflare cdnjs — delivers JavaScript libraries used by some tools.
- Formspree — receives contact-form submissions and forwards them to us.
- ipapi.co / ipwho.is — IP lookup results, only when you use that tool.
These services have their own privacy policies and we do not control them. Links on our site may lead to other websites that we also do not control.
7. Retention & international transfers
We keep contact messages only as long as needed to answer you and keep a reasonable record. Analytics data is kept according to Google Analytics retention settings. Because Google, Formspree and other providers operate globally, your information may be processed in countries other than your own.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example the EEA, UK or California) you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. Because Tantool has no accounts, the only personal data we normally hold is a contact message. Email support.tantool@gmail.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.
9. Children
Tantool is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the new version.
